CHC43015 – Certificate IV in Aged Care

23 Nov CHC43015 – Certificate IV in Aged Care

Certificate IV in Ageing Support (formally Certificate IV in Aged Care) is specifically targeted at people who currently work in the aged care industry or who are responsible for providing aged care on a daily basis.

This course of study will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to provide safe, secure and effective care to elderly people who have complex needs, be it in a nursing facility, hostel or home environment. Students who successfully complete this qualification will also have the expertise required to enhance independence and encourage community participation for the elderly.

The Australian population is ageing at a rapid rate and as a direct result of this, there is an increasing need for trained staff that can meet the complex needs of elderly people. To this end, the Australian government is currently encouraging practising nurses to pursue aged care so that they have the skills needed to administer medication, manage teams of staff and develop effective care plans for members of the elderly population.

Don’t train with these guys, they’re not an RTO and so your training will not be nationally recognised. It’s a con!

      Hello Lee,

The Qualify Me! RPL Program (Recognition of Prior Learning) is not ‘online’ perse. The RPL course takes your experiences and what you have learned in your years working in Australia and overseas (if applicable) and have those arranged, documented and compiled, then assessed to meet the requirements, set by the licensing body of your state. This means no classroom-based study and you can complete the course anytime, anywhere you are.

      Hello Randel,

      To answer your enquiries:
1.) Is this cert 4 is Australia university nationally recognised? – Yes. This certificate is nationally recognised.
2.) what is the duration of the course cert 4? – The RPL process is at your own pace, there is no set schedule. The process is estimated to take up to 3 months, however, this will ultimately depend on the course you’re taking and how soon you supply the required evidence in compliance with the RTO standards.
3.) is this online based or class based? – There is no classroom-based study involved, submission of requirements are done through correspondences with a Student Support Officer assigned to you: mainly emails.
4.) what is the cost of the cert 4? – I’ll get a course advisor to call you and discuss this.
5.) does this cert 4 medication in subject? it’ll be good for me. – We don’t have Cert IV in medication

If we haven’t already, we’ll give you a call to discuss your options and answer your enquiries.
