Course Details

The qualification consists of both core and elective units, each of which covers distinct competency requirements that are specifically tailored to the needs of the plumbing industry. In addition, there are four specialist streams available.

To operate safely and effectively in the plumbing industry, practitioners need to undergo specific training and assessment interventions in practical situations that very closely replicate those of the real workplace. As such, all the units of competency that are associated with this course are delivered in a practical setting.

Occupational titles may include:

  • Plumbing contractor
  • Gas Contractor
  • Restricted LPG contractor

For plumbing contractor purposes in NSW, you may also choose to complete only the subjects/streams you require rather than completing the full qualification.

      Hi Michael,
At face value and assuming you have a range of residential and commercial plumbing experience here in Australia I think you would cut it for a Certificate III in Plumbing. Without looking into it, I would guess you would need to do more time before picking up a Certificate IV in Plumbing.
