01 Jun State of Origin 2017 – BLUES or MAROONS
Without a doubt, nothing is more important to NSW right now but that one, final win to end Queensland’s unparalleled 10-year dominance in the State of Origin series.
Thanks to the daring, almost superhuman performances of stars Andrew Fifita and James Tedesco, New South Wales stunned a predominantly Queensland crowd of over 50,000 after stretching that 28-4 defeat of the Maroons at Lang Park. This marked the Blues’ first State of Origin series opener win since 2014, not to mention their biggest win over Queensland in over a decade.
Whether you bleed blue or bleed maroon, there’s no other place to be on Wednesday, 21 June, but the ANZ Stadium to cheer on NSW to a famous Origin series victory, or lift that Queensland spirit in what is highly anticipated to be a Blues Fortress stadium.
