The Civil Construction Plant Operation scope of work includes but is not limited to Identifying, locate and protect underground services, carry out manual excavation, support plant operations, spread and compact materials manually, apply risk management processes, operate small plant and equipment and drain and dewater civil construction sites.
At least 4 years relevant industry experience in a wide range of Civil construction Plant Operation work where the majority of the experience was obtained within 10 years of the date on which the application is made.

According to NSW Fair Trading, tradies applying for a license must have the relevant industry knowledge and experience and have completed:
1) RII30815 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations or
2) RII30813/ RII30809 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations or
3) RII30820 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations
