The Advanced Early Childhood Education and Care RPL program reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations. They use specialised knowledge and analyse and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other educators.
The Advanced Childcare scope of work includes but is not limited to facilitating compliance in a children’s education and care service, foster positive and respectful interactions and behaviour in children, Implement strategies for the inclusion of all children, support the learning and development of teams and individuals, manage business operational plans, develop and use emotional intelligence, plan service and supports for children and families and use collaborative practices to uphold child protection principles
At least 4 years relevant industry experience in a wide range of Early Childhood Education and Care work where the majority of the experience was obtained In a Childcare Centre within 10 years of the date on which the application is made.

Childcare workers must have completed 280 of work in a regulated children's education and care service in Australia as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. The number of hours may be applied collectively across all units of competency that include the requirement for workplace hours.
