The Early Childhood Education and Care RPL program reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.
Childcare work includes but is not limited to supporting inclusion and diversity, support children’s health, safety and wellbeing, develop positive and respectful relationships with children, use an approved learning framework to guide practice, support the holistic learning and development of children, provide experiences to support children’s play and learning, support children to connect with the natural environment and Encourage understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures.
At least 2 years relevant industry experience in a wide range of Early Childhood Education and Care work where the majority of the experience was obtained In a Childcare Centre within 10 years of the date on which the application is made.

Childcare workers must have completed 160 of work in a regulated children's education and care service in Australia as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. The number of hours may be applied collectively across all units of competency that include the requirement for workplace hours.
