The Solid Plastering RPL program provides a trade outcome in solid plastering for residential and commercial work. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as the specialist field of work, solid plastering. Solid plasterers apply plaster, cement and other mixtures to walls to create smooth or decorative finishes to interior walls and to render to exterior walls.
The Solid Plastering scope of work includes but is not limited to preparing surfaces for plastering, apply float and render to straight and curved surfaces, apply set coats,,apply trowelled texture coat finishes, restore and renovate solid plasterwork, manage finances for new business ventures and Investigate business opportunities.
At least 2 years relevant industry experience in a wide range of wet plaster work with a licensed Solid Plasterer.

According to NSW Fair Trading, tradies applying for a license must have the relevant industry knowledge and experience and have completed:
1) CPC31020 Certificate III in Solid Plastering or
2) CPC31011/ CPC31008/ BCG31003 Certificate III in Solid Plastering
